trixbox 2.8.0.4 xen image available on xenforge

I finally put together a xen image for trixbox 2.8.0.4 This is fully updated and is current as of today, 5-24-2010. The xen image for trixbox and others can be downloaded from XenForge.org here I have not tested this image that thoroughly.

Thank you,
Engineer Tim

    Hi Tim,
tks for the image. Like to know if there are any work around to do yum update as it is always showing the following :-

kmod-dahdi-linux-xen-2.2.1-1_trixbox.2.6.18_164.11.1.el5.i686 conflicts with file from package kmod-dahdi-linux-xen-2.2.0-5_trixbox.2.6.18_164.11.1.el5.i686

or for update must be installed from scratch?

    Tks in advance
    Eric

The way to get around that is to do rpm -e –nodeps if memory serves me. I think you have to do this for both kmod-dahdi-linux and kmod-dahdi-linux-xen then do the yum update. Try that and let me know.

    Thank you,
    Engineer Tim

    Hi Tim,
Yup that worked I just typed :-

    rpm -e –nodeps kmod-dahdi-linux-xen

Thanks at least the update is working :)

    Thank you

    Hi Tim,
The update went smooth everything got installed, but had to manually install back the kmod-dahdi-linux-xen and rerun the setup-pstn. So far so good.

    Tks

    Hi Tim,
I installed Trixbox 2.8.0.4 release version. It is running fine, but SIP doesnt have sound running properly but IAX2 is fine. In the beta version it was SIP that was fine and IAX2 not so good. You ran into this problem? I am using XEN 3.3.2 on Debina Lenny 5.0.4. Either with PCI pass thru or without same. Also is there a way to install the trixbox kernel version than the Centos one? Cause I have to rpm force to downgrade the kernel or DAHDI would not work. Please help greatly appreciated.

    Tks in advance
    Eric

    Hi Tim,

Last night when I was trying to download 2.8 Trixbox using the torrent from Xenforce, my BitTorrent client woudn’t start downloading. Is there some special login that I have to do in the BitTorrent client?

    Thanks

  8. Engineer Tim says:

no special login needed once you get the torrent file. I know this is a old post, but let me know if you still have issues.

  9. I have made a Trixbox 2.8.0.4 appliance for XEN, you can download it from my blog: http://www.roelbroersma.nl/index.php/2010/12/06/trixbox-vm-on-xenserver (about 589MB, it’s a .xva packed in RAR). yum updates up-to-date as of 6-dec-2010.
